Favorite Crops & Least Favorite Crops
Apples and potaoes are my current favorites. Anything nutritious and especially perennial veggies. Also, we've grown some winter wheat, oats, rye, spelt buckwheat, and op corn. Would really like to try tartar buckwheat, and einkorn or any heirloom grain.
Really big field (5+ acres)
Cambridge silt loam and stony silt loam. Mostly fallow land that used to be in a corn oats alfalfa rotation for a dairy. Has been heavily limed but is natually slightly acidic. Now about 6.7. We also have woods.
Growing Location Descriptors
Neighbors' Crops (within 1/4 mile)
None. Just grass hay

We are protected by woods from these crops and hope it stays that way!
Other relevant information
We do plant open pollinated corn (oaxacan green) as we are protected by a tree line. On the years when the big tractors are planting corn near us we plant sunflowers for added protection.
