I have had great luck with carrots, tomatoes, flour corn, winter squash, tepary beans, potatoes, parsnips, turnips, radishes.

Haven't figured out cumin or peppers yet.

Not that worried about lettice or artichoke.

Soil Details
Most of the feild is a degraded clay, but there is a wide band of fertile loam.

Mostly old fashion cattle pasture.

Same thing, maybe some grass hay too, and old apple orchards.
Possible GMOs in the neighborhood...
The problem is the poison tough alfalfas; make it hard to trust hay or manure sources.
Other relevant information
Got deer and prairie dogs. And a hot south aspect feild. Decent irrigation despite the drought. I am focused on the garden most of the time, and have friends and allies to help.
