I am the farm manager of a 12 acre sustainable farm in Lawrence, KS looking towards the future while learning from the past. Pinwheel Farm is a non-irrigated operation focusing on maintaining and continually improving the soil structure to keep this as a viable method. With the water table sitting only 17' below the surface and a silty loam soil the farm has managed to be productive and go without irrigation for 15 years.

Until this year crops have been fairly standard(tomatoes, greens, onions, etc.) but looking to experiment with different crops to see what else we can successfully produce.
